Quiet operation

Our quietest generator.

Mornings at camp should sound like birds, not engines. The 2000W runs from just 52 dB(A) at 7 metres, the quietest in the Promac range. Its inverter slows the engine down when you need less power, which saves fuel too.

Good to know

Questions people ask

Will it run a caravan air conditioner?

Yes! The 2000W is ideal for light, portable power, including fridges, lights and charging devices. It can also run caravan air conditioners, depending on their power requirements. Just keep in mind that you may not be able to run everything at once.

How long does it run on a tank?

About 6 hours at 50% load on the 4 L tank. Run time depends on how much you plug in. The inverter slows the engine on lighter loads, which saves fuel.

Is it quiet enough for the campsite?

It runs from 52 dB(A) at 7 metres, the quietest Promac generator. That suits campsites and caravan parks.

How do I start it?

The Quickstart guide that comes with each unit will walk you through getting your generator started. First add oil, add fuel and turn on the choke. Then pull the starter cord.

What's in the box?

The generator, the manual and a Quick Start Guide.

Can I use it to power my home in a blackout?

Yes! You can keep several household essentials running, including your fridge, freezer, lights and phone chargers. Use suitable heavy-duty extension leads and appropriately rated power boards to connect appliances, without exceeding the generator's capacity. Always operate the generator outdoors in a well-ventilated area, well away from doors, windows and vents. Never connect it directly to your home's wiring.

Can I connect it to my home's power through a changeover switch?

Yes! With a professionally installed generator changeover switch, you can connect your generator to your home's electrical system using a suitable lead and dedicated inlet. This allows you to power selected household circuits through your existing power points and switches during a blackout, without running extension leads throughout the house.

A licensed electrician must install the system and confirm compatibility with your generator.

Located on the Sunshine Coast? We highly recommend Blackout Protection for home backup generator installations.

What warranty do I get?

The generator comes with a 3-year warranty on the Macht engine and a 12-month warranty on all other generator components, with warranty agents and spare parts available across Australia.

Promac is Australian-owned, family-run since 1981 and proudly based in Beerwah, Queensland.

How do I look after it?

Regular maintenance is important to keep your generator running reliably. Always follow the service schedule in your manual, and keep an eye on a few simple things like avoiding old or stale fuel, checking your oil levels and avoiding extended periods of running with very little load.

We also stock a Generator Service Kit and 1L engine oil to make regular servicing easy.

Can I see one in a store?

Yes. Use the store locator to find a Promac stockist near you or give us a call anytime we can help guide you in the right direction! Phone: 1800 773 267 or email promac@promac.com.au
