Why the 4500W
Our most powerful generator.
Big power, long run times and wheels to move it. Made for big caravans, home backup and the job site.
Big power
Run the aircon and more.
On a hot night, the aircon is only the start. You get 4000W of steady running power and two AC outlets, so you can run selected caravan air conditioners with other appliances, like the fridge or the coffee machine.
Home backup
Ready for the next blackout.
When a storm knocks the power out, you want something that keeps going. The 12 L tank runs from 10 hours, and the two AC outlets keep the fridge, freezer, lights and phone chargers going.

Promac 4500W vs Others
Promac 4500W
"Others" means a typical open-frame generator. Features vary by brand.
Easy to move
Big power that rolls.
A generator this big is heavy, at 40 kg. That is why it comes with a wheel and handle kit. Lift the handle and it tips back onto its wheels, so you can roll it to the van, the shed or the job site.
Clean power
Two outlets. Clean power.
Plug in two leads at once. Both AC outlets give pure sine wave power, so they are safe for laptops, phones and other sensitive gear. There are USB and 12V outlets as well.
Good to know
Questions people ask
Will it run my caravan air conditioner?
It runs selected caravan air conditioners, with 4000W of running power. That leaves room to run other appliances at the same time, like the fridge or the microwave.
How long does it run on a tank?
From 10 hours on the 12 L tank. Run time depends on how much you plug in. The inverter slows the engine on lighter loads, which saves fuel.
Is it heavy to move?
It weighs 40 kg, so it comes with a wheel and handle kit. Roll it on its wheels. Use two people to lift it into a ute or trailer.
How do I start it?
The Quickstart guide that comes with each unit will walk you through getting your generator started. First add oil, add fuel and turn on the choke. Then use the electric start. The battery comes in the box.
Can I use it to power my home in a blackout?
Yes, for several essentials at once, like the fridge, freezer, lights and phone chargers. Plug them in with heavy-duty outdoor extension leads. Never connect a generator to your home wiring unless a licensed electrician has installed an approved connection. Always run it outdoors, away from doors and windows.
Is it quiet?
It runs from 53 dB(A) at 7 metres, which is quiet for a generator this size. Always check the rules for generator hours at caravan parks and campsites.
What warranty do I get?
3 years on the Macht engine, with warranty agents and spare parts across Australia. Promac is Australian-owned and has been family-run since 1981. We are based in Beerwah, Queensland.
How do I look after it?
Follow the service schedule in the manual. Promac sells a Generator Service Kit and 1L engine oil to keep it running well.
Can I see one in a store?
Yes. Use the store locator to find a Promac stockist near you.
