Why the 2000W
Small, light and quiet.
The lightest and quietest generator in the Promac range. Made for camping, 4WD trips and weekends away.
Portable
Light enough to grab and go.
A generator is only handy if you take it with you. At just 18.5 kg with a top carry handle, it lifts into the boot of the 4WD without a fuss. It is compact too, at 480 × 285 × 460 mm.
Quiet operation
Our quietest generator.
Mornings at camp should sound like birds, not engines. The 2000W runs from just 52 dB(A) at 7 metres, the quietest in the Promac range. Its inverter slows the engine down when you need less power, which saves fuel too.

Promac 2000W vs Others
Promac 2000W
"Others" means a typical open-frame generator. Features vary by brand.
Camp power
Power for the whole camp.
Cold drinks, good light and charged phones make a good camp. You get 1800W of steady running power, enough for a portable fridge, LED lights and device charging, plus selected small appliances.
Clean power
Safe for your laptop and phone.
Phones, laptops and camera batteries need clean, steady power. The 2000W makes pure sine wave power, so it's safe for sensitive electronics. There are dual USB ports and a 12V outlet for charging as well.
Good to know
Questions people ask
Will it run a caravan air conditioner?
How long does it run on a tank?
About 6 hours at 50% load on the 4 L tank. Run time depends on how much you plug in. The inverter slows the engine on lighter loads, which saves fuel.
Is it quiet enough for the campsite?
It runs from 52 dB(A) at 7 metres, the quietest Promac generator. That suits campsites and caravan parks. Always check the site's rules for generator hours.
How do I start it?
The Quickstart guide that comes with each unit will walk you through getting your generator started. First add oil, add fuel and turn on the choke. Then pull the starter cord.
What's in the box?
The generator, the manual and a Quick Start Guide.
Can I use it to power my home in a blackout?
Yes, for essentials like the fridge, lights and phone chargers. Plug them in with heavy-duty outdoor extension leads. Never connect a generator to your home wiring unless a licensed electrician has installed an approved connection. Always run it outdoors, away from doors and windows.
What warranty do I get?
3 years on the Macht engine, with warranty agents and spare parts across Australia. Promac is Australian-owned and has been family-run since 1981. We are based in Beerwah, Queensland.
How do I look after it?
Follow the service schedule in the manual. Promac sells a Generator Service Kit and 1L engine oil to keep it running well.
Can I see one in a store?
Yes. Use the store locator to find a Promac stockist near you.
