Good to know

Questions people ask

Will it run my caravan air conditioner?

Yes! It will run caravan air conditioners, with 4000W of running power. That leaves room to run other appliances at the same time, like the fridge or the microwave.

How long does it run on a tank?

With a generous 12L fuel tank, it delivers 10+ hours of runtime - and you can expect even longer on lighter loads. Our 10-hour figure is deliberately conservative, with the fuel-saving inverter technology helping extend runtime when power demand is lower.

Is it easy to move?

Absolutely! At 40kg, the included wheel and handle kit makes moving it around easy. For lifting into a ute or trailer, we recommend two people.

Is it easy to start?

Absolutely! With electric push-button starting, getting up and running is simple. Just add oil and fuel, connect the included battery and follow the easy steps in your Quickstart Guide. You're ready to go!

Can I use it to power my home in a blackout?

Yes! You can keep several household essentials running, including your fridge, freezer, lights and phone chargers. Use suitable heavy-duty extension leads and appropriately rated power boards to connect appliances, without exceeding the generator's capacity. Always operate the generator outdoors in a well-ventilated area, well away from doors, windows and vents. Never connect it directly to your home's wiring.

Can I connect it to my home's power through a changeover switch?

Yes! With a professionally installed generator changeover switch, you can connect your generator to your home's electrical system using a suitable lead and dedicated inlet. This allows you to power selected household circuits through your existing power points and switches during a blackout, without running extension leads throughout the house.

A licensed electrician must install the system and confirm compatibility with your generator.

Located on the Sunshine Coast? We highly recommend Blackout Protection for home backup generator installations.

Is it quiet?

It runs from 53 dB(A) at 7 metres, which is quiet for a generator this size.

What warranty do I get?

The generator comes with a 3-year warranty on the Macht engine and a 12-month warranty on all other generator components, with warranty agents and spare parts available across Australia.

Promac is Australian-owned, family-run since 1981 and proudly based in Beerwah, Queensland.

How do I look after it?

Regular maintenance is important to keep your generator running reliably. Always follow the service schedule in your manual, and keep an eye on a few simple things like avoiding old or stale fuel, checking your oil levels and avoiding extended periods of running with very little load.

We also stock a Generator Service Kit and 1L engine oil to make regular servicing easy.

Can I see one in a store?

Yes. Use the store locator to find a Promac stockist near you or give us a call anytime we can help guide you in the right direction! Phone: 1800 773 267 or email promac@promac.com.au
